Drivers Training Perspective

So apparently, they have changed things since Indy and Taryn took the course. It's tons of class time and you schedule driving time separately outside of class. Yuck. I don't remember it being like that with them, or if it was, it was summer time and didn't affect us as much.

Gib is NOT enjoying this. He has two gems of wisdom from two days of classes:

  • From his notes yesterday: The Goal is NOT to get shot. Oh yes!! That is why we sent him there, so he'd learn that elusive life lesson!!
  • Today: If they have them, a person's aggressive driving style is directly proportional to the number of bumper stickers on the car. The more bumper stickers, the more road rage the driver is likely to exhibit. As Gib was telling me this, a VW Bug goes by completely COVERED in bumper stickers. "Like him! What a FREAK!!!" Not that there's anything wrong with that....

Grammy wanted to know what if the bumper stickers were religious. Well, I guess that just means the person will pray for you after he or she runs you off the road, or they will ask for forgiveness for flipping you the bird. Hey, that's good to know. No need to respond to the aggression, right?! I wonder if the contrition is as proportional to the number of bumper stickers....

And, as always, the goal is to NOT GET SHOT.
