Volvo vs Escalade

The Escalade won.
The Escalade was at fault as well, but it is still
traumatic for poor Indy!

Basically, Indy was going thru an intersection and the Escalade turned left in front of her, violating Indy's right of way and subsequently, the front end of the new Volvo. The police came. At first Indy believed she had been hit and run because the other car seemed to just keep going and she could no longer see the car. When the police arrived, we found out she was pulled over but completely out of sight. There was an accident report filed, the lady said she just didn't see Indy. Indy was not cited. The Volvo was towed away. The eye witnesses say the Escalade driver panicked, and if she would've just punched it, Indy could have missed her. We were glad there was a witness willing to stop and gave her their names and number to give to the police. It was annoying to look at a little bashed in fender on the Escalade and then look at our car. We hope we hear back that it is all repairable.

And we all were having such a good day too, with Taryn carting us around. Then Indy was going downtown to help a bunch of people from work film a band performance for a You Tube promo and because parking the truck is harder, I suggested she take the Volvo. To top off the run of bad luck, she had a blow out on the back tire of the Volvo last week and we had just gotten it back the day before this accident. Indy says she's pretty much done driving now. Well, if bad car stuff comes in three's, she's over the worst. Let's all hope and pray to be done!! We feel so bad for Indy that when I half-teasingly said to Mike that if she had a kitten to hold right now it wouldn't be so bad for her, he replied that he didn't actually say NO to a kitten. Wow, he must feel really sad for Indy. We all do. Poor Indy!

I seemed to have a run of bad luck with cars when I was young too, but two of the three were mostly my fault. Goodness, I had a patient dad. Glad no one was hurt!!
