I'm Only One Person!

Today, I not only suffer from the usual sensory-integration issues (and yes, my coworkers brought up the infamous moment at today's work meeting so they could laugh about it!) BUT now I am O.W. (Octopus Woman) juggling 8 things at once with everyone needing something and one child missing from the school bus - hey, it was only 30 minutes late and I had a nice chat with the principal about my concerns of where my child might be since yesterday the driver let her get off in another subdivision when she realized she accidentally got on the bus she rode last year but is it/or is it not her bus this year. Jury's still out. How confusing is that?! She made it home while I was still on the phone with him, so that worked out but my blood pressure was starting to climb. Something about a substitute bus driver and it didn't leave school until more than half an hour after school got out. Yay team.

Today has been crazy that's for sure. From the second I left home this morning, it became one of those "Take A Number" days that require deep breathing. My kids used to respond "Gimme #1" and when I looked like I was about to hit critical mass they would start shouting "2, no 3!!". Then I got smart and would say "Start at #4 or higher because I'M ONLY ONE PERSON!!!!"

Apparently I used to say that alot. One night when our youngest was about 4 and was shuffling off to bed rather reluctantly, she yelled "I only one PERSON!!" and we all laughed that she thought it was in context to express her great frustration!

Well, maybe I never stopped saying it after all. Deep Breathing commences in 3, 2, 1........

Okay...I'd a been a bit freaked out too if my baby had not made it home on the bus you thought she should be on! Ahh, those busy days...I actually can't wait to get those back. I feel that pain about being ONLY ONE PERSON, but on a much smaller level. ;) Hang in there.

OKay I know I shouldn't be laughing because you sound like you are definetly having one of those days but your blog sounds just like the voice in my head most days:)

Ha, I was about to make the same comment as Trish. It's nice to have a voice in my head to match the blog.
