An annual Water World tradition. The Scouts must canoe or kayak to the pass, which is across the lake. They haul the canoes over the land portion of the pass which used to be covered by water, but has had to be crossed carrying the canoes for at least the last 3 years. Then they reassemble in their canoes and finish the second half of the Pudding Cup to the docks where the canoes are then loaded to be transported back to the Barn. It's a test of endurance and at the end the Scouts always say, "now I know why it's the called the pudding cup -your arms feel like pudding at the end!". Actually, as the story goes, the first year the prizes for the winners were misplaced but one parent was able to dredge up a pudding cup which they gave to the winner. Thus, the canoe race became the Pudding Cup!

I was a little worried when Taryn wasn't in Gib's canoe. Then I spotted her - someone must have needed a good canoer - that little guy doesn't know how lucky he was! If Taryn was a Girl Scout she would have her canoing merit badge, her water sports merit badge, and if she took the state test, her motor boating merit badge!
