Last Day of the Year

Mike has taken Taryn, Gib and Mariah to go shooting at the rifle range. We have a couple friends with New Year's Eve happenings so we'll probably go to one of those later tonight. It's quite the toss up too: a church friend's party or a singer/songwriter night downtown. Indie is spending New Years in Georgia. She'll be heading back on Jan 2 to finish up her winter break here and collect her kitty. Taryn is here until Jan 5th and then we'll be driving her back to college. It's been so wonderful to spend time together as a family.

I have been compiling photos scoured from facebook, the blog, the picture archives, etc., to do a Year in Review. 2011 was pretty busy, sometimes stressful, and filled with happenings. As a result the blog often suffered. To make it up to Ringo's World, I decided to do a year end photo blog mania! And side note: Chino, Pixie and Diego only make the briefest of appearances! It wasn't easy to skip all the great cat photos, but I only used 3 that Mariah took in the Fall. I can't quite say the same about the newest feline in the family. He stole the show this year, and fittingly he has more than one photographic appearance.

The rest of the photos may be ones you haven't seen, or maybe you vaguely remember them. It's kind of like when CBS has that Survivor night where they show supposedly never been seen before footage. There were a few technical difficulties, and like I said, my Fixer isn't here, but if you have a nimble mind and a firm grasp on the space-time continuum you should be able to follow along. July is the trickiest. If you can get through that, it's all downhill from there...

From our family to yours - Have a Blessed New Year

2011 In Review: Aug to Dec

Indie left for her 2nd trip abroad. This one was with her Service Scholars group. They went to Poland, Armenia, and Georgia. Taryn came home for a brief time, and next thing we knew, we were driving her back again, taking the last of Indie's stuff and her cat to her new apartment, and another school year began for Mariah & Gib.

Gib invited to one last trip to the lake. So glad Taryn was able to go along!

Gib got sick with a mystery virus and ended up in the ER where to our relief he was cleared of meningitis, flu and strep. After several hours the 103 fever finally broke.
Taryn on Black Friday: the madness doesn't get to her at all!
Everybody sooo excited to have their photo taken at the mall on Black Friday. Notice the crowds! I think the midnight people were still sleeping.

2011 In Review: JUST JULY!

July was a big month for us. Gib turned 16 and arrived home from a Florida vacation on his bday. Indy picked him up with a special bday surprise. Everyone was home for a few weeks, with the exception of Taryn who had to return to her college to be a Hit The Ground Running mentor. She loved it, but we sure missed her! Felicie from Paris, France joined us, we went to the lake, to Chattanooga, to Pigeon Forge, and finished her stay with local entertainment! Mariah got to ride her first roller coaster! And finally, the annual Scout Waterworld weekend was upon us. Gib and Mariah had alot of fun tubing and waterskiing. These are in no particular order (unless I get really ambitious and try to move them around!)
