Thanks to Chrissie's Uncle Steve for handling the electrical work for the addtional lighting. And just as important, helping to build the workbench, because no Man-Cave would be complete without that.

The "Man-Cave"
Most of my holiday time was spent working on the Man-Cave project. It is one of those tasks after a move that has to be done, but you can always think of more important (translatation: more interesting) things to do. But it bubbled up in urgency due to some unforseen water damage. When we moved to this house, the only additional storage option was the crawl space, officially dubbed the Man-Cave. Alot of our boxed stuff from the old house storage as well as additional boxes created by the move were just stuffed into the crawl space because there was really no other place to put it. Well it turns out that even though there was plastic laid down, there was still a water problem from rain runoff that we ended up losing one of our boxes that was full of history/memories. So it became necessary to get the boxes up off the ground. As most of you know, a crawl space is generally just that a "crawl space", making movement in such an area limited and difficult. Well I believe we were able to accomplish the task reasonably well and without much difficulty and eliminate the crawl aspect. I have posted some pictures of the results, keep in mind that the project is not yet finished, I am still in the process of separating important stuff from junk, and then attempting to store it in some organized fashion. So here it is, "The Man-Cave"

Dang, that looks a ton better!
Wow much better. And I think my house would fit in your "crawl space". LOL.
The 'Man Cave' looks more like a basement to me than a crawl space! :-) Ok well a short basement.
It looks great! I can only imagine how long it took you guys.
Yeah, that's the biggest crawl space I have ever seen! Great job with your project:)
I love the "Man-Cave!" Maybe I just love the thought that the Man-Cave means it's off limits to women and you will need to retrieve all needed items from the Man-Cave!!! A plus for you, Chrissie!
Uhhh I'll have to take a picture of Matts "Man -Cave" for you.... Oh wait he doesnt have one! Maybe next house we can get one too. Very Cool!
